March was a busy month spent preparing for my first Artisan Fair with The Derbyshire Makers. As well as the obvious items to sell there were so many other considerations.
How do I display my items?
How will I package up any sales?
How will people pay me?
What artworks to take?
I researched how others displayed their stock, bought an old basket, made my own card stand, had some prints made. Then bought a Zettle payment machine, a stall runner with my logo and finally, insurance.
It was actually all great fun, especially making the card stand.
So how did it go?
I sold an original framed artwork with the first hour which made me almost jump for joy 😊 😃
The rest of the day was fairly slow sales wise but I did sell a couple of small things. Spent much of the day chatting to other stall holders and to people asking about my work. It was a great boost for me to hear peoples positive comments.
Overall I enjoyed the day and am really excited now about Belper Arts Festival the first weekend in May where I will have a stall and be demonstrating for both days.
March ended with a sale at The Bee and Bear Gallery, Castle Donnington where I have some cards, prints and 2 originals so another happy dance was done 😁
Now I am giving some time over to working on a new collection ready for Belper Arts and Derbyshire Open Arts in May as well as for some other event's I'm waiting to hear about ..🤞
Happy Spring
Love Diana 💫🌸🌸
